8 months

Today is Ezra's 8 month birthday. I miss him.

Instead of my own words, someone just shared with me Ernest Hemingway's response when he was challenged to write a story in 6 words. It sums it all up:

For sale, baby shoes, never worn.

Chills.

I haven't thought about Hemingway's story since college. I remember pondering the statement then.

It's heart-wrenching to read it now.

I've seen/heard that story over and over. (I was an English major in college.) But it never held meaning for me the way it does now. :(

I'd forgotten about that. Yes. Terrible. Meaningful like it never was before.

Sweet Ezra.

Love to you.

I think someone once referred to that as the saddest short story ever written. Absolutely right.

Thinking of you, David, and Ezra.

I've heard of Hemingway's story in college, but I never really thought of it until now. Wow.

Thinking of you and Ezra today.

Oh Sweet Ezra, sweet sweet Ezra...

And I have goose bumps from reading that - I have not seen that before. And yes, perhaps the saddest story very written...

Thinking of you, xxx

Happy 8 months Ezra. You are missed.

That quote reminds me of an ad I just say on craigs.list.org. Someone was trying to sell a brand new glider, never used, because they didn't need it anymore. I can't help but wonder why.

Thinking of you and Ezra and David. I've never heard that story either... chills indeed. Feel like I could've written it. I've definitely thought it. Sigh...
